1954 Mercury KG7Q modified with Hubble Wildcat parts.  Hubble, a famous racer of the day produced a number of parts and procedures that gave the KG7 powerhead roughly 30% more horse power. The modified engines either prepared by Hubble or modified by others with his parts and instructions was raced in 1954-1956 era in the modified class as both santioning bodies outlawed it from stock outboard racing.  Some of the thing done to this engine are installation of a modified AJ32A carb, external reeds, elimination of four internal reeds, crankcase suffers installed, modified low friction pistons, extended prop nut and Quincy exhaust pipes called vaccum cleaner pipes since they look like the metal pipes used with vaccum cleaners at the time. Alan restored this engine a few years ago.  The engine is on a Quicksilver Q length tower and has the yellow stripe with red pin stripe and a repro Wildcat decal.  A period correct brass propeller comes the engine.  We have not run the engine, but it is fueled with alcohol.
